Then, as you do, you forget about something as its shinyness wears off and you’re attracted to something else new and sparkly (not, for the record, that we’ve come across a sparkly strap just yet – here’s hoping...)

    So to come across these straps again at the Birdfair in Rutland was like rediscovering an old friend. And the Classic Strap (see link below) had brought along its big brother – the Pro+ Safari Strap .

    Both harnesses spread the weight of your camera gear across your back, leaving your hands free and your neck pain-free. The design of the harness relies on the camera weight to anchor it against your body, so there are no chafing straps around your torso. Your camera simply hangs to the front, resting lightly on your stomach. As a bonus, you can also carry a pair of binoculars at chest height, meaning you can easily switch between the two. When you want to bring the camera to eye level, it simply slides up the straps.

    The Trekking Safari range is well made and strong, with each buckle able to bear a max. load of 15kg, plenty of capacity for any EOS user.
