We really hope it doesn't rain on your photography day out, but if it's a wet one then we recommend one of these handy covers in your kit bag. These are they lightest raincovers we've seen, and so there's no excuse not to have one in your back pocket, ready for that rain shower or worse. Better still, you get two covers in pack.
To cover your camera, simply unfold the cover and slip over your camera. There's a small hole in the back of the cover – line this up with your viewfinder. You can even use your eyepiece to lock the cover in place, so it doesn't move around and you're not looking though the plastic when raising your camera to your eye. If shooting with a long lens, the tripod mount can be attached directly through the pliable plastic. The drawstring enclosure uses a barrel lock to secure snugly around the lens offering added protection and convenience.
This Flash version of the OpTech Rainsleeve has an extra upper section to accommodate a camera shoe-mounted flash (up to approx. 7" tall x 5" wide x 4" deep). The sleeve fits loosely around the flashgun so the plastic material of the cover won't be compormised by the heat of the gun.
The Rainsleeve is completely transparent and you can see all camera, lens and flashgun controls through it. You can use it either hand-held or on a tripod. The drawstring enclosure will fit any lens up to seven inches (17.8 cm) diameter and up to 18 inches (45.7 cm) in length.
Two per pack, each weighing around 25g.
