  1. As EOS cameras become more sophisticated, so the Canon instruction manuals get longer. Whilst the manual is always essential reading, you need something a little more pocketable when out and about.

Nina Bailey, Technical Editor of EOS magazine and author of the popular EOS eBook series, has the solution. This new Pocketbook for the Canon EOS 5D Mark III is a concise guide to the most used and confused features and controls on your camera, based on Nina’s vast experience as lecturer at EOS Training Academy – hearing first-hand what photographers want to know and understand about how their EOS 5D Mark III camera operates.

It's printed in full colour and only A6 in size (105 × 148 mm), so is truly pocketable and portable. Slip into your camera bag or pocket and this little guide is on-hand to remind you of the key controls and overrides for your camera when out in the field.

And for extra protection when out-and-about, your Pocketbook comes in a durable clear plastic pocket.

    36 pages long.

Since being introduced to these pocket books during a photo workshop I have purchased one for every EOS camera I've owned, currently on my fourth. Very comprehensive handy reference that's much easier to carry around than the Canon manual. Although I have downloaded PDF versions of the Canon manuals onto my smart phone I very rarely need to use them.

Its a little pocket rocket, I've learnt a number of really useful tips from this book and I'm only half way through it. Straight forward and easy to understand, I would recommend this guide to any 5d mk iii owner apart from the expert photographer, even then at the price it would be worth the read.

Grossly over-priced.

Gives basic, background information about using the 5DIII for photography in very scant detail. No additional hints and tips which are not in the instruction manual.

There is absolutely no information about using the camera's video recording facilities.

Extremely disappointed all round with this booklet which is, for me, a total waste of money.

We're sorry to hear that you're disappointed with the Pocketbook. It's designed to be an aide-memoire – picking out the key camera features for when you need a reminder out in the field, rather than a guide to getting more from your camera, as many people don't remember what all the key controls do. We've sent you an email with regards to returning the item.
